The Galaxy S25 series is the only smartphone series to participate in the ongoing One UI 8 beta testing program. It is supposed to open for other Galaxy devices this month, and we still have to listen to official words from the company. In between, the beta manager has answered this question and clarified when we can expect the beta update. The ongoing One UI 8 beta may not come to other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, and it may directly promote the stable version.
The Beta Manager at Samsung Community has mentioned that the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are not the current target for One UI 8 Beta. The manager further says it is not in the eligibility list and will be officially opened once finalized. Here is the official answer from the Beta Manager.
Public Beta for One UI 8 is currently ongoing for S25 series (T-Mobile, Unlocked), and Watch7/Ultra (Bluetooth, LTE-T-Mobile only). Unfortunately, S24 is not the current target for One UI 8 Beta eligibility, but it will be officially opened once the software is finalized. We appreciate your contribution to the Beta Program.
The users who participated in the Galaxy S25 series One UI 8 beta, and Galaxy Z Fold 7/Flip 7 users have mentioned how smooth and stable it is. Samsung may also be thinking of distributing the final version to all these smartphones instead of beta firmware.
