Samsung Stops Software Updates to Galaxy A22, F52 & Tab S7 FE

July 9, 2025

We are inching closer to seeing an Android 16-based One UI 8 version on Galaxy foldable phones. On the other hand, there are older devices that will not get any further updates in the future. This month, Samsung has terminated three more Galaxy devices from its major software updates and monthly security patches. From July, the mid-range phones Galaxy A22 5G & Galaxy F52 5G, and Galaxy Tab S7 FE devices will stop receiving any further updates from the company.

They will only receive further firmware patches if there is a critical issue with the phone or if there is another genuine reason. Galaxy A22, F52 & Tab S7 FE were launched in June 2021, and all received two major Android software updates with four years of monthly patches. All of them have now reached the age of four, and as per Samsung’s software policy, they are not eligible for further updates.

Galaxy A22 Software Support

If you are a user of any of these devices, you must connect with the Samsung Members app to get further assistance from Samsung. Galaxy A22, F52 & Tab S7 FE grabbed users’ attention with the 5G tag and other essential functions at a budget-friendly price, especially in India. It was the start of the 5G era in a country, and users were demanding affordable devices with 5G connectivity. Now in the same category, we have Galaxy A26, Galaxy F56 & Tab S10 FE to serve users.
