The Galaxy S26 series will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset with customized speed for the Galaxy device. It is said to be much faster than the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, which has been packed in the Galaxy S25 series. But how fast? Well, then, a new source has shared the performance of the upcoming Qualcomm chip. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared the Geekbench score of the new processor for model number SM8850, which is highly impressive. In a multicore CPU, it gives an 11,000+ score, and in a single CPU, it delivers over 4,000+ score.
Both numbers outscore Galaxy S25’s processor and promise better results from the flagship smartphones. The only thing to worry about is that not all users will get the chance to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon variant. As per the sources, Samsung will bring back the Exynos chipset on the Galaxy S26 & Galaxy S26+ smartphones. Depending on the country and region, users will get the Qualcomm variant, and the remaining users will get the Exynos variant.

By our knowledge and previous history, the US & Canada will receive Qualcomm processors, and the remaining will have to stick with the Exynos version. It doesn’t mean the Exynos processor is far slower than the Snapdragon. As per the recent development, Samsung is working on its chip to make it up-to-date in the market. Apart from that, the Galaxy S26 series will only receive minor changes in the camera department. The rumors claim that the Galaxy S28 series will only receive bumper camera upgrades.
