For the first time, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been spotted with the latest One UI 8 version. It indicates Samsung is gearing up to bring all the new software features of Android 16-based One UI 8 to the foldable phone. The newly built firmware number F946BXXS5EYF1 is found in the database server. It is now in the testing phase, and we can not say it is the final version. The South Korean giant will take a few more steps to stabilize its code and serve better software to users.
In the market, only the Galaxy S25 series is running on One UI 8 version, which is still in the beta testing phase. Galaxy Z Flip 5 & Fold 5 may join the beta testing program at the end of this month or early next month. It includes new functions, tweaked settings, and a new entry of AI sets in the Galaxy AI library.
In a foldable series, Galaxy Z Flip 6 & Fold 6 are yet to receive beta firmware, and we believe that will happen this month. The same software will also run on the next Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 devices.
