Last week, the mid-range smartphones like Galaxy A55, Galaxy A36 & Galaxy M36 were spotted with the upcoming major One UI 8 build version. It was strange to find these devices before high-end smartphones and tablets. Now, as we suspect, Samsung turns its development team towards older premium models, and today it added two new models. The Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S24 FE are now in the testing period with the test firmware. One UI 8 test is going on for both devices, which may come to the final version at the end of this year.

The discovered firmware version at the database server for Galaxy S22 is S908XXUFGYG1, and firmware number S721BXXU6CYG1 has been spotted for Galaxy S24 FE. These are the early builds, and they have to go through a few more testing firmware versions before final launch.
In the One UI 8 software, users can have a couple of new features, Galaxy AI tools, along with necessary changes. We are not sure all the functions will come to the Galaxy S22 as it is now older in its category. Furthermore, not all Galaxy AI tools will launch for the Galaxy S24 FE, but it could enter into beta testing program in the future.
